<br />r- <br />c-: <br />C-.. <br />N <br />C <br /> <br />1 constructed, at large cost to each of them, facilities <br /> <br />2 incidental to generation, transmission lines from the <br /> <br />3 Boulder P~:er Plant to metropolitan load centers in California, <br /> <br />4 and other facilities for the purpose of utilizing on their <br /> <br />5 respective systems energy generated by each of them, respectively, <br /> <br />6 at Boulder Power Plant; and <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />9. WHEREAS, pursuant to the Lease, and announcements <br /> <br />8 of the Secretary in accordance therewith, the City and Edison <br /> <br />9 Company, on June 1, 1937, and June 1, 1940, respectively, entered <br /> <br />10 into possession of the portions of the Boulder P~'er Plant leased <br /> <br />11 to them, respe cti v ely, and assumed the ope ra tion of the power <br /> <br />12 plant units and corresponding plant facilities and other <br /> <br />13 incidental structures necessary to generate the electrical <br /> <br />14 energy allocated to them and to those allot tees for which they <br />15 were respectively designated in said Lease the generating <br />16 agencies; and <br />17 10. WHEREAS, by the terms of the Adjustment Act it is <br />18 providE;d that the Sccretary is authorized to ne gotia te for and <br /> <br />19 enter into a contract for the termin8tion of the existing Lease <br /> <br />20 of the Boulddr Power Plant; th2 t, in the event of such termina- <br /> <br />21 tion, tho operation and maintenance, and the making of replace- <br /> <br />22 ments, however, necessitated, of the Boulder Power Plant, by the <br /> <br />23 United States, directly or through such agent or agents as the <br /> <br />24 Secretary may dE:signate, is authorized; trot the powers, duties, <br /> <br />25 and rights of such agent or agents sh2.ll oc provided by contract, <br /> <br />5 <br />
