S. Geological <br /> <br />SUrvey, the U. S. Bureau of Reclamation, the Colorado Fuel & Iron Co., <br /> <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board and the Southeastern COlorado <br /> <br />Water Conservancy District a meeting was held in the office of F.L.Sparks <br /> <br />in Denver. <br /> <br />Attending this meeting were members of the River Water Distribution <br /> <br /> <br />. Sub-Committee of the Southeastern Colorado W. C. District as follows: <br /> <br />WIn. Bauserman, Jr., Charles Irwin, James G. Shoun, Roy D. Cooper, and <br /> <br />J. Selby Young. Also present were Charles Beise, Atty., F. L. SparkS, <br /> <br />Director of the C.W.C.B., Fred Boydston, Engineer for the C.W.C.B., <br /> <br />Charles H. Boustead and Wallace A. Doe. <br /> <br />As a result of the afcremP-n~i0ne1 field trip the following recom- <br /> <br />mendations in respeot. to gaging stations were read to the group by <br /> <br />Mr. Doe, and explained: <br /> <br />1. It was recoTIlf\ended that one of the hydrographers now stationed <br /> <br />in Pueblo and employed by the State Engineer be transferred <br /> <br />to La Junta on a permanent basis. To this recormnendatlon lrIaS <br /> <br />assigned priority of need No.1. Costs are not estimated. <br /> <br />l.a. It was recommended that the gaging station at the <br />Highland Dam on the Pugatolre River be rehabilitated. <br />Costs are not estimated. <br /> <br />2. It was recommended that complete reconstruction of the presently <br /> <br />inoperable gaging :!Itation at Nepesta (Oxford IA1m) be undertaken <br /> <br />and a I;Telemark" telemetering device be installed therein. <br /> <br />Total estimated costs to be about $5,500. To this recommenda- <br /> <br />tion was assigned priority of need No.2. <br /> <br />3. Construction of a gaging station and installation of a "Tele- <br /> <br />mark" telemetering device was reconrnended to be installed just <br /> <br />below the east Chaffee County line below Sallda. Total estimated <br /> <br />coste to be about $5,500. To this recommendation was assigned <br /> <br />priority of need No.3. <br /> <br />2368 <br />
