With the
combination of United States measures under Minute' No. 218, plus the voluntary by-pass
by Mexico of additional Well ton-Mohawk drainage waters, daily salinity varied generally
from 980 ppm to 1,300 ppm, reference Exhibit 3.

2. Colorado River Flows 10 Mexico

The total flows of the Colorado River reaching the boundary section during the calendar
year 1970 are expected to amount to 1,583,000 acre-feet (including flows crossing the
land boundary at San Luis). This quantity is within 6% of the guaranteed schedul ed

1) Operation year - November 16 of preceding year through November 15 of designated
operation year.

2) The voluntary by-pass by Mexico of Well ton-Mohawk drainage during the 5th year
exceeded that requested during the 4th year by more than 50%.

3) Excluded from this range are daily salinities during December 1969, when the most
saline return waters were discharged from the Well ton-Mohawk District. Also excluded
from this range are the salinities in the latter part of September 1970, when Mexico
specifically requested a reduction in deliveries which resulted in higher salinities than
would otherwise have obtained.
