Determined potenrial high water line and developed boundary surveys for the <br />company's existing land ownership. <br /> <br />COLORADO CANAL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS STUDY -- Directed the developmenr of the irnprovemenr plan <br />for the Colorado Canal system which includes the reconstrUction of existing srructures in order to improve <br />the efficiency of the diversion of 756 cfs through 60 miles of canal and .torage in two reservoirs with a <br />capaciry of approximately 50,000 acre-feer. <br /> <br />COLORADO CANAL MEASURlNG DEVICES -- Directed the developmenr of planning, engineering, for <br />consouction of two canal flow-measuring scructure5 utili7.ing long-crested weirs to measure flows ranging <br />from 3 to 500 cfs. Stnlcrures ha.e .oeen successfully complered and are operational for the Canal Cornpany. <br /> <br />STREET/INTERSECTION DESIGN IM?ROVEMENTS ro WEST 104TH AVENUE, WESTMINSTER -- The <br />project consists of the design of street, drainage, traffic control, and selected utiliry improvements necessary <br />to reconsrruct the inrersec[ion of West 104th Avenue and Federal Blvd. GEC was responsible for researching <br />and locanng all existing u[ilities, identified con[;icts, and developed relocarion plans. A drainage basin <br />analysis was developed evaluating tl,e impacr of tributary storm dr3inage on the project area and <br />recommended final alignment and phasing of drainage facilities. An addendum to the project added a <br />pedestrian underpass, where GEe was re5ponsible for engineenng design services to n~!oca[e an existing 20- <br />inch warerline. <br /> <br />TANGLEWOOD CREEK CHANNEL IMPROVEMENTS, W1':STMINSTER n Provided services for a project that <br />involved the survey, design, and (>re;>aration of Contract Documents for improvements to Tanglewood Creek <br />channel from the Ilonhwest come',- of the shopping cemer ar 120th Avenue and Medlody Drive downstream <br />to Timberlake Hornes pond. Irnprovemenrs included a grass-lined channel, a concrete box culverr, and <br />modili.cation ~f ..""sting Contract Documents for channel improvemems downstream of l2lst Avenue. <br />Modified the Timberlake Homes detenr.ion pond to reduce s3fery hazards. GEC designed improvements to <br />the upstream channel and for an outlet ro drain the pond for winterization. <br /> <br />H'l1.AND HIu.s BASEBALL FIELDS, PARJ(]NG LOT AND PART ENTRANCE, COLORADO n Provided design <br />services for three new baseball fields on a slope with a 45.50 foot drop over 500 feet on a 9-acre site, as well <br />as dle design of a lOa-car parking lot. GEC is assisting with a stormwater permit, which is required since <br />construction exceeds 5 acres. The parking lot porrion of the project involves conversion of three baseball <br />fields and surrounding area imo p~wd parking for 1600 cars. GEC. rask is to work with the District and <br />their landscape architect ro prepare an economic plan. A new entry way design is being developed that will <br />include arainage, a circular drop-off drive area, pedestrian and automobile traffic flow, signage, landscaping, <br />and ricket booth placemem. <br /> <br />UTILE DRY CREEK DRAINAGE STUDY -- Project Manager for drainage study for the Little Dry Creek Basin <br />of the City of Arvada, Colorado. Drainage srudy includes complex water qualiry components in addition to <br />surface runoff considerations. Facilita[ed the approval of the plan which included governmental agreemenrs <br />with two counties, three mutual irrigation companies and rhe regional drainage authoriry. <br /> <br />BURLINGTON DITCH HYDRAULIC STUDY -- Directed the study of a section of the Burlington Ditch for a <br />land developer, recomrnended plans for moving the ditch, enclosing it or bridging it in order to assist in the <br />development of a property which was bisected by rhe ditch. <br />
