Grace & Co. to Western Water Reserves, Inc. <br />(Broadbent has since been named the Assistant Secretary <br />for Water and Science in the Department, and Robert Olsen <br />is Acting Commissioner of Reclamation.) <br /> <br />Briefed representative of Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan. <br /> <br />4.2 ANTICIPATED JANUARY EVENTS <br /> <br />Continue efforts to identify potential industry partners. <br /> <br />Brief Secretary of the Interior William Clark and his immediate <br />staff. <br /> <br />Secure approval of the modification to the cooperative agreement <br />which transfers ownership of AQuatrain, Inc. <br /> <br />5,0 SUBTEAM: TECHNICAL/ENGINEERING (Legal) <br />5.1 DECEMBER EVENTS <br /> <br />Briefed Rocky Mountain Energy and Union Pacific representatives, <br /> <br />Gordon Creek CO reserves are not as extensive as previously <br />believed, and t~erefore probably not a suitable source for <br />AQUATRAIN. <br /> <br />Follow-up continued on Mid-Continent Oil's recent large <br />CO2 discovery in Garfield County, <br /> <br />It was learned that the costs of transporting CO2 to the <br />slurry pipeline via truck for relatively long diStances <br />(100-150 miles) are approximately 3-1/2 times more expensive <br />than transporting the gas via pipeline. <br /> <br />Continued discussions with American Quasar Petroleum Corporation <br />on Riley Ridge CO2 reserves. <br /> <br />5.2 ANTICIPATED JANUARY EVENTS <br /> <br />Meeting with President of Mid-Continent Oil Company to discuss <br />the pOSSibility of obtaining CO2 supplies from Garfield County, <br />Utah, Mid-Continent is also interested in marketing the CO2 <br />in California for enhanced oil recovery. <br /> <br />Briefing for the Institute of Mining Engineers, Canon City, Colorado, <br />on January 18. <br /> <br />Briefing for Society of Professional Engineers, January 27, <br /> <br />2 <br />
