Treated water storage at the plant would also be expanded and
a pipeline constructed to serve five potential participants.

At least two levels of expansion at the Greeley-Bellvue plant are possible.
The plant could be expanded 12 mgd from its present capacity of 18 mgd by
enclosing the existing flocculation/sedimentation basin and adding a new
12-mgd flocculation/sedimentation basin. The construction costs for this
expansion are preliminarily estimated to be on the order of $5 million (1990
dollars). Alternatively, the plant could be expanded 27 mgd from its
present capacity of 18 mgd by enclosing the existing flocculation/sedimen-
tation basin and adding a new 27-mgd flocculation/sedimentation basin. The
construction costs for this larger expansion are estimated to be on the
order of $9 million (1990 dollars). An additional 14 mil gal of treated
water storage and a pipeline to supply potential participants is estimated
to cost on the order of $10 million (1990 dollars).

Component E

Component E is similar to Component D, except on a smaller scale, and
entails using the City of Loveland's water treatment plant to supply two or
more other water providers. The Loveland water treatment plant currently
has some excess treatment capacity available and could be expanded with
relatively limited modifications.

Details concerning the use and expansion of the existing Loveland water
treatment plant to provide treated water to other water suppliers is
described in the separate report documenting the supplemental studies which
were performed in association with the Regional Water Supply Study.
