electrical energy by any means and the treatment of coal
and coal by-products. Storage in Hinman Park Reservoir can
be used to supplement diversions under the Saddle Mountain
pump station's decrees during periods of low flow and to
meet downstream calls. The combination of direct flow and
storage rights provides a dependable year round supply of
water for variety of uses in an area of increasing demand.

Water Rights

Public Service Company holds conditional water rights decreed
in Water District 58 of Division 6, Routt County, Colorado
as follows:

HIN~Ulli PARK RESERVOIR

DECREE: Conditional; diligence shown through 1978.

SOURCE: Elk River, a tributary of the Yampa River.

LOCATION: The dam will be located across the channel
of Elk River, in Section 18 in Township 9 North,
Range 84 West of the 6th P.M., Routt County. State
of Colorado, and the high water line will encompass
lands lying within the following legal subdivisions:
Sections 5. 7. 9, 17 and 18, Township 9 North.
Range 84 West of the 6th P.M.

INITIAL POINT OF SURVEY: The initial point of survey
of the high water line_of the Hinman Park Reservoir
is located at a point whence the number 5 corner
of Tract 41, Section 7. Township 9 North, Range 84
West of the 6th P.M., bear~North 480 33' East, a
distance of 2,528.5 feet.
