A new office building, more suitable in size and layout to current us-
age. will be built near Holly adjacent to the new maintenance building.

The present office building in Holly will be sold and the proceeds used
to purchase the site. site work and furnishings for the new buildings.

Equipment Purchase

Most of the equipment. currently owned and operated by the Amity, is
in poor condition. Frequent bre~kdowns hamper efficient maintenance
operations. The new maintenance equipment will greatly improve mainte-
nance effi ci ency and thus the performance of the Amity Sys tern,

Lands in the Amity Service area are generally well-drained with the
~Iater table located belo~1 the root zone. Some areas, however, are
nearly level, depressed or gently undulating. Drainageways, in most
instances. are well-defined and carried directly under or into the
canal. In certain instances. the drainageways are poorly-defined and
there are small and large closed basins in ~Ihich storm Ivater accumu-
lates. The larger depressional areas are presently classed as nonorable;
but, in some cases. ~Ii 11 i nfl uence the i rri gabil ity of surroundi ng 1 ands
unless higher lying land irrigation and drainage are properly managed,
No drainage problems are anticipated with the project.

WATER QUALITY

Because the project consists of modifications and improvements to the
existing system to provide a higher level of efficiency of service to
the lands presently irrigated. there will be no change in either sur-
face or groundwater quality as a result of the project.

During the construction activities, precautions will be taken to con-
trol suspended solids from degrading water courses.

LAND RESTORATION

Land area, disturbed by construction, is not expected to be extensive.
Where land is disturbed, it will be graded to stable contours and
seeded with natural dryl and grasses. Reasonable efforts ~Ii 11 be taken
to minimize the impact of the construction on the environment.

COMPANY INITIAL CONSTRUCTION

The Company and the shareholders plan to do certain portions of the
improvements as their contribution to the project. Those items of the
