Anticipating satisfactory review, the Division Engineer will
distribute his public notice on report completion and transmit the report to
the BERH and OCE in September 1980. This feasibility study investigated the
need for deeper draft channels to the Port of Sacramento, California. Area of
study consists primaril~ of the existing 30-foot deep Sacramento River
Deep-water Ship Channel from New York Slough to the Port of Sacramento, and
the existing 30-foot deep Sui sun Bay Channel from Avon to New York Slough.
Benefits for navigation improvement are based primarily on increased exports
of forest products and agriculture products of rice, other grains, and dry
bulk products, as well as imports of general cargo, bulk commodities and
nitrogeneous fertilizers.

3. Redbank and Fancher Creeks, California.
