<br />5. Indian Bend Wash, Arizona. Construction for Indian School Park, a <br />recreational feature in the greenbelt floodway, and the inlet channel was <br />completed in January 1980. Plans and specifications for the interceptor <br />channel and the remaining recreation facilities (Scottsdale Bike Stop and <br />Greenbelt) are underway. <br /> <br />6. Phoenix, Arizona, and Vicinity. Construct~on of Cave Buttes Dam was <br />completed in June 1980. Plans and specifications for Adobe Dam were completed <br />during this,period for advertising in August 1980. Phase II design studies <br />for New River Dam snd the Arizona Canal Diversion Channel are underway. <br /> <br />7. Dry Creek (Warm Springs) Lake and Channel, California. Approximately 9.5 <br />million cubic yards of embankment fill have been placed. The cofferdam <br />construction is on schedule with closure of the notch scheduled for 15 October <br />1980. Contact grouting of the diversion tunnel has been completed. <br />Foundation grouting of the valley floor and left abutment has been completed <br />and grouting of the right abutment is at 50 percent. The drain, diversion and <br />low flow tunnels are complete. Contractor presently is constructing outlet <br />works cut and cover section, stilling basin and outlet works shaft. The <br />Visitors Center is now complete and open to the public daily. The Fish <br />Hatchery facilities are scheduled to open for operation by 1 October 1980. <br />The Project Overlook is under construction and is 30 percent completed. <br />Completion of the embankment is expected by the end of 1982. <br />I <br /> <br />8. Small Projects. <br /> <br />a. Berkeley Marina, California. <br />concrete pile breakwater was awarded <br />scheduled for September 1980. <br /> <br />Contract for construction of an offshore <br />on 20 February 1980. Conpletion is <br /> <br />b. Allenville, Arizona. . This nonstructural project to relocate residents <br />of Allenville out of the floodplain to a new site was approved by the Office <br />of the Chief of Engineers in July 1980. Plans and specifications for razing <br />of the old .site and construction of replacement housing and support facilities <br />for the new, site are underway with construction to start in Fiscal Year 1981. <br /> <br />c. Sespe Creek, California. This small flood control channel improvement <br />projeGt-.wa~ approved--11y, the offics-,Df .thfLChief of Engineers in _Auguat-19llo...H <br />Plans and specifications are scheduled ,for Fiscal _Year 1981. ,Construction is <br />scheduled for the 'following fiscal year. <br /> <br />d. Telegraph Canyon Creek, California. The draft Detailed Project Report <br />for this small channel improvement\ project was submitted to ~he Division <br />Engineer in June 1980 and is under r.eview. <br /> <br />9. Code 710 Recreation Program. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />a. Carbon Canyon Dam and Channel. Initiated and completed third <br />construction contract for recreational facilities. <br /> <br />C-38 <br />
