<br />OOJ10S <br /> <br />, <br />ECONOMICS, STATISTICS, AND COOPERATIVES SERVICE <br /> <br />ARIZONA: Little Colorado Cooperative River Basin Study (CRBS) <br /> <br />This study is scheduled to end in December 1980. In <br />April 1980, twenty-five copies of the socio-economic <br />report were mailed to the Western Technical Service <br />Center (WTSC). Three major remaining study activities <br />include analysis of the effects of alternative flood <br />solutions and land treatment programs and preparation <br />of the final report. <br /> <br />Colorado River Indian Reservation <br /> <br />This study is scheduled to end in December 1984. <br />Yield data is currently being acquired on 200 different <br />40-acre fields in the study area. The effects of laser <br />leveling on water use and yields will be estimated for <br />some fields. Base year budgets will now be completed <br />in October 1980. A budget generation system developed <br />at the ESCS East Lansing, Michigan office is being <br />transferred to the University of Arizona computer. <br /> <br />Arizona Statewide Agricultural Water Management Analysis <br /> <br />This study is scheduled to end in December 1983. A <br />preliminary statewide model is being developed in <br />cooperation with the Arizona Water Commission. The <br />study is now in Phase I with Phase II scheduled to <br />begin in December 1980. <br /> <br />CALIFORNIA: Sacramento River Basin Study <br /> <br />Proposal to study submitted to WTSC to do a two area <br />study including the Spanish Grant and Crow Creek <br />Drainage Area as well as a larger surrounding study <br />area in cooperation with a new State Water Quality- <br />Centra 1 Va 11 ey Region Study. Pl an of work development <br />currently underway. <br /> <br />Review comments on Draft Drought Water Management <br />Analysis received from twenty-two persons. Revised <br />report now being .written. <br /> <br />The California Agricultural Resource Model (CARM) effort <br />is continuing. A successful solution for the 1978 base <br />year was obtained using a quadratic programming algorithm. <br />The study will be extended.up to one year depending on <br />available funding. <br /> <br />C-35 <br /> <br />1,. ; <br /> <br />. ..1 <br />
