<br /> <br />Lower Colorado River RC&D Area <br /> <br />The area was authorized as a new start on February 1980. <br />The design plan is in final draft. Two early start <br />measures have been identified. The RC&O office will be <br />located at Parker, Arizona. <br /> <br />CALIFORNIA: North Cal-Neva RC&D Area <br /> <br />The first contract totaling $78,000 was awarded in <br />May 1980, for critical area treatment on Susan River <br />near Susanville, California. This project is known as <br />Susan River Greenbelt RC&D project, and will provide <br />protection to critically eroding areas and basic <br />recreation facilities including a strip park through <br />the city of Susanville in Lassen County. The city of <br />Susanvill e is the sponsor of this measure. <br /> <br />Central Coast and High Sierra RC&O <br /> <br />A number of critical area treatment projects are in <br />various stages of planning and some of these should <br />move into the construction stage later this .year. <br /> <br />COLORADO: Colorado Big Country RC&O Area <br /> <br />Hayden Flood Prevention Measure - Final design <br />completed. The measure is expected to be implemented <br />in'Fy-llO. <br /> <br />San Juan' RC&O Area <br /> <br />I <br />Oolores County Roads Critical Area Treatment - <br />Construction underway on the final phase of the <br />project. <br /> <br />Navajo State Recreation Area Critical Area Treatment - <br />Construction underway. <br /> <br />Pagosa Schools Critical Area Treatment - Phase III <br />construction underway. <br /> <br />C-34 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
