<br />003100 <br /> <br />WATERSHED OPERATIONS <br /> <br />ARIZONA: Buckhorn - Mesa Watershed <br /> <br />The design for the Signal Butte Floodway is being prepared <br />by the Montana design section and is approximately 75% <br />complete. Geological investigation for Signal Butte and <br />Pass Mountain flood retarding structures are compl ete. <br /> <br />Harquahala Valley Watershed <br /> <br />The start of construction of the Saddleback FRS and <br />Diversion will start in late September of 1980. The <br />final design for the Harquahala FRS will be completed by <br />September 1980 with construction starting in early summer <br />1981. The structure will be constructed concurrently with <br />Reach 5, of the Central Arizona Project. <br /> <br />Apache Junction - Gilbert Watershed <br /> <br />No change from last report. <br /> <br />William-Chandler Watershed <br /> <br />RWCD (Roosevelt Water Conservation District Floodway) <br /> <br />The contract for Reach 1 has been awarded for $2,904,180. <br />The design for Reach 2 is approximately 75% complete. <br /> <br />CALIFORNIA: Carpinteria Valley Watershed (Hog Canyon Diversion) <br /> <br />Supplement by exchange of correspondnece is complete. <br /> <br />BeardsleY Watershed <br /> <br />Work on this supplement was stopped short of completion. <br />No further construction work will be done on this project <br />until a decision is reached for Point Mugu outlet in <br />Revolon Watershed. <br /> <br />Revolon Watershed <br /> <br />A prescoping meeting held with the U.S. Army Corps of <br />Engineers, Navy, CALTRANS, and Ventura County Flood Control <br />indicates that studies needed to answer concerns are more <br />extensive than originally thought.
