<br />Central Sonoma (Spring Creek EIS) <br /> <br />Interagency, review of the Draft EIS is complete. The <br />Final should be distributed in October. <br /> <br />Llagas Creek Watershed <br /> <br />Additional studies needed to answer questions on the draft <br />EIS are progressing satisfactorily. <br /> <br />Lower Pine Creek Watershed <br /> <br />This project is environmentally cleared from SCS's stand- <br />point. Construction designs are steadily progressing. <br /> <br />Santa Ynez Flood Prevention Project <br /> <br />Work on the San Miguelito Subwatershed is underway. A <br />contract for the continuation of channel improvement on <br />San Miguelito Creek near the city of Lompoc is expected <br />in July 1980. <br /> <br />Mustang Creek Watershed <br /> <br />Contract bids for channel improvement are expected to <br />go out in summer 1980. <br /> <br />I I <br />EMERGENCY WATERSHED PROTECTION PROGRAM <br /> <br />CALIFORNIA: Due to high intensity storms over a large portion of <br />Ca 1 ifornia during Febl'ual'y - March 1980, the SCS <br />received requests from a number of flood control <br />districts for financial assistance to do emergency <br />work. on streams which were potential hazards to life <br />and property. SCS approved 22 damage survey reports <br />totaling 4.4 million dollars. The following counties <br />are involved: Kern, Monterey, Orange, Riverside, <br />San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, San Mateo, Santa <br />Barbara, Santa Clara. and Ventura. <br /> <br />C~32 <br />
