<br />Construction is underway to install weir and recorders to <br />measure project spills at 30 spill sites, .including Tyson <br />\>lash Siphon. \'Ieirs and recorder may also be installed on <br />several laterals. <br /> <br />The soil survey work continues. Ari zona State Uni vers i ty <br />has completed, under contract, an inventory of wildlife <br />habitat and vegetative types. <br /> <br />Irrigation data, including water applied and crop yields, <br />is being provided by Bruce Church Farms, Parker Ranch. <br /> <br />Virgin River Basin Salinity Study <br /> <br />Arizona reviewed some revised IRMA runs made by Nevada. <br /> <br />Arizona Statewide Agricultural Model Study <br /> <br />The study has been approved, funded, and is underway. The <br />Arizona Statewide Model is in the process of being trans- <br />ferred.from Berkeley to the Arizona Water Commission computer <br />facil ities. <br /> <br />20B Water Quality Planning <br /> <br />The Arizona Statewide 208 Plan has received conditional <br />approval from EPA. Mack Miller who was on assignment to the <br />State Land Department to assist on the 208 planning effort <br />has retired. Special Study lA - Water Quality Planning <br /> <br />Five mini-reports for seven pilot study areas have been <br />published and distributed. They document the procedures <br />and methodology used for conducting "208" \~ater Qual ity <br />Planning in the Central Valley Region and for the <br />Reg i ona 1 Wa ter Qua 1 ity Control Board. They a re also <br />being used as a guide for similar planning activities <br />in other parts .of California.
