Special Study IV - Watershed Area Studies <br /> <br />Sutter-Placer Study <br /> <br />Alternative plans are being prepared to address the <br />flooding, irrigation water management, erosion and <br />sediment, industrial and urban waste water recovery <br />needs, municipal water supply, and fish and wildlife <br />concerns in these two counties. <br /> <br />Red Bank Creek Land Treatment <br /> <br />Erosion and sediment problems are being investigated <br />for possible solution and funding under a PL-566 <br />Land Treatment Only Program. The approach and pro- <br />cedures are being documented for possible application <br />in other areas of California with similar problems. <br /> <br />Warm Springs Irrigation Water Management <br /> <br />An Inventory and Evaluation has been completed, which <br />meets the needs of the sponsors and the study has been <br />terminated. <br /> <br />Amador County Flood Prevention <br /> <br />AiRiver Basin Field Exam has been completed and the <br />results provided to the city and county officials. <br />The opportunities for financial assistance under the <br />PL-566 program were investigated and proved to be <br />negative. <br /> <br />Anderson-Cottonwood Irrigation Project <br /> <br />An initial scoping meeting has been held with repre- <br />sentatives of the irrigation district, mosquito <br />abatement district and Resource Conservation District <br />officials. A "proposal to study" is being drafted by <br />the above representatives and a steering committee <br />will be formed to guide the study. <br /> <br />Sacramento County Irrigation Project <br /> <br />A resolution by the Irrigation District and two Resource <br />Conservation Districts have been adopted, and constitutes <br />the initial request for River Basin Planning assistance <br />in this area. Information for a proposal to study will <br />be provided by the steering committee and will be the <br />basis for preparing a detailed work outline. <br /> <br />C-27 <br /> <br />L _'-<d.-' - ii 1:. <br />
