Department of Interior <br />Vern Valantine - California <br />Clem Lord - Wyoming <br />Carl Slingerland - ~ew Mexico <br />Gene Neblett - Department of Energy <br />Bill McDonald - Colorado <br />Norm Evans - Consortium of Water Research Institutes <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Regional Pl'!nning Reports <br /> <br />The draft report on regional planning, which had been mailed to the <br />Committee for review; wa~ discussed at length. In a page by page review, <br />numerous .substantive a.nd editorial changes were discussed. The consensus <br />of the group was that ~ short section on conclusions should be added to <br />the report. Barry Saunders and Carl Slingerland agreed to prepare this <br />section. A revised finnl draft of the report will be mailed to the <br />Subcommittee memhers in November. <br /> <br />Ve~etative Managcment - Yern Valantine <br /> <br />Vern Valantine reported on his June 4 meeting with the Rocky <br />Mountain Region of the Forest Service to discuss water yield improvement. <br />At the meetinB were 5 staff members from the Rocky Mountain Regional <br />office and a hydrologist fro.n the Intermoufltain Region. The purpose of <br />the mc(!tinr, wns to determIne what the ForMt .S(!rvice WnS doing to incorporate <br />water yield improvement in their planning program. <br /> <br />C-10 <br />
