The Secretary will reviewthe options <br />and make a final selection. One of the alternatives is to do nothing. If an <br />action option is selected, we will have the support through the Secretary's <br />Office to initiate the program. Public scoping meetings to present the alter- <br />natives as well as the preferred option will follow. <br /> <br />The next step is to have the Office of Management and Budget include funds for <br />the program in our budget. The earliest increase would occur in the FY82 Budget. <br />Considering the options now being reviewed, if the shortest time is selected that <br />would mean a 3-year period for environmental studies, contracts, equipment, and <br />design, followed by a 5-year period of randomized seeding.
