The SM':.e Engineer's records for 1941 show 20,724 acres <br /> <br /> <br />as irrigated in the pro;:?c' 'lre:.,r The remainder of the irri,r:;ated acreage <br /> <br /> <br />in the county, abo'.lt 9,1::00 >'0.'=">, is located above t.hE' T-:-!.nidad Reservoir <br /> <br /> <br />site, and on the tributaries to the Purgatoire above Alfalfa, Colorado. <br /> <br /> <br />The project area discussed in this report comprises 19,500 acres of irri- <br /> <br /> <br />gated land and repreee:>.ts +"'" area of land consistently irrigated from <br /> <br /> <br />year to year. <br /> <br /> <br />8. The principal irrigated crops in the project area are alfalfa, <br /> <br /> <br />beans, corn, wheat, oats, barley and sugar beets.
