<br />San Juan-Chama <br />Water Accounting <br />Albuquerque Area Office <br />April 1995 <br /> <br />The natural inflow into Heron Reservoir during the month of April was computed <br />to be 5,850 acre-feet (a.f.) as shown on Table'3. Net San Juan-Chama losses <br />were 410 a.f. as shown on Table 2. The diversions through Azotea Tunnel for <br />the month of April were computed to be 10,010 a.f. <br /> <br />There was a total of 13,530 a.f. of natural released in April from Heron. <br />There was a total of 28,420 a.f. of San Juan-Chama released during April. A <br />total of 20,108 a.f. was released for MRGCD to be stored in El Vado. A total <br />of 2,420 a.f. was released for Santa Fe (2,000 a.f. to MRGCD in El Vado, 126 <br />a.f. to Santa Fe in El Vado, 294 a.f. to PNM in El Vado). A total of 4,911 <br />a.f. was released for the City of Albuquerque to MRGCD in El Vado. 224 a.f. <br />was released for DOE to DOE in El Vado. 313 a.f. was released for Taos to <br />MRGCD in El Vado. 347 a.f. was released for Los Lunas (229 a.f. to MRGCD in <br />El Vado, 18 a.f. Otowi, 100 a.f. to City of Albuquerque in Abiquiu). 100 a.f. <br />was released for Belen (70 a.f. to Otowi, 30 a.f. to MRGCD in El Vado). <br /> <br />Total precipitation at Heron Reservoir for the month of April was 1.87 inches <br />which is 108% of normal. The monthly computations for Heron Reservoir are <br />summarized in Tables 1-3. <br /> <br />Total inflow into Nambe Falls Reservoir was computed to be 696 a.f. <br />Evaporation loss on the reservoir was 8 a.f. Table 4 summarizes San Juan- <br />Chama water at Otowi. <br /> <br />Estimated sediment deposition in the San Juan-Chama pools at Cochiti, Abiquiu, <br />and Jemez Canyon Reservoirs are presented in Tables SA-SC. <br /> <br />Storage and evaporation of Rio Grande water in El Vado and Abiquiu reservoirs <br />are shown on Table 6. <br /> <br />All data are provisional and subject to revision as final data are collected <br />and analyzed. <br />
