San Juan-Chama
Water Accounting
Albuquerque Area Office
November 1995

The natural inflow into Heron Reservoir during the month of November was computed to
be 150 acre-feet (at) as shown qf Table 3. Net San Juan-Chama losses were 430 af as
shown on Table 2. There were no diversions through Azotea Tunnel this month,

There was a total of 2050 af of natural released in November from Heron. There was a
total of 6170 af of San Juan-Chama released in November.

Total precipitation at Heron Reservoir was 0.53 inches which is 86% of normal. The
monthly computations for Heron Reservoir are summarized in Tables 1-3.

In November a total of 5771 afwas released from Cochiti's pool in Heron as payback to
the City of Albuquerque (City) in Abiquiu (letters dated 10/31/95, 7/25-31/95, 8/2/95, 3173
af from 1994). 350 af was released from Heron for Nambe (325 af payback to City in
Abiquiu, borrowed Aug and Sep; 25 af to otowi). 44 af was released from Heron for
Bernalillo as payback to the City in Abiquiu (41 af 10/16/95, 3 af 10/17/94). 3 af was
released from Heron for Los Lunas as payback to the City in Abiquiu (4/19/95). 1 afwas
released from EI Vado for Los Lunas as payback to the City in Abiquiu (10/28/94). 254 af
was released from Abiquiu for Santa Fe (3 af to City in Abiquiu 10/17/94, 122 af blw Otowi
and 3 af abv Otowi 10/31/95, 122 af blw Otowi and 3 af abv Otowi 11/16/95). 52 af was
released from Abiquiu for the City (51 af blw Otowi, 1 af abv Otowi 11/16/95).

At the end of November, MRGCD's balance owed the City of Albuquerque was 37,712 af,
which was borrowed to meet irrigation demands.

Total inflow into Nambe Falls Reservoir was computed to be 289 af. Evaporation loss on
the reservoir was 5 af. Table 4 summarizes San Juan-Chama water at Otowi.

Estimated sediment deposition in the San Juan-Chama pools at Abiquiu and Jemez
Canyon Reservoirs, and Cochiti Lake are presented in Tables 5A-5C.

Storage and evaporation of Rio Grande water in EI Vado and Abiquiu Reservoirs are show
on Table 6.

All data are provisional and subject to revision as final data are collected and analyzed.
