<br />San Juan-Chama <br />Water Accounting <br />Albuquerque Area Office <br />October 1995 <br /> <br />The natural inflow into Heron Reservoir during the month of October was computed <br />to be 620 acre-feet (a. f.) as shown on Table 3. Net San Juan-Chama losses were <br />1,180 a. f. as shown on Table 2. There were no diversions through Azotea Tunnel this <br />month. <br /> <br />There was a total of 160 a. f. of natural released (as seepage) in October from Heron. <br />No San Juan-Chama was released during October. <br /> <br />Total precipitation at Heron Reservoir was 1.47 inches which is 87% of normal. The <br />monthly computations for Heron Reservoir are summarized in Tables 1-3. <br /> <br />In October a total of 41 a. f. was borrowed for Bernalillo from the City of Albuquerque <br />in Abiquiu below Otowi (SEO letter October 16, 1995). A total of 213 a. f. was <br />released for Sante Fe from Abiquiu below Otowi and 6 a.f. above Otowi (SEO letter <br />October 23, 1995). A total of 21 ,754 a. f. was borrowed from the City of <br />Albuquerque in Abiquiu for MRGCD to meet irrigation demand below Otowi. A total <br />of 150 a.f. was borrowed from the City of Albuquerque in Abiquiu for Nambe Falls <br />Reservoir. A total of 567 a.f. was borrowed from the City of Albuquerque in Abiquiu <br />for Cochiti Lake. <br /> <br />At the end of October, MRGCDs balance was 37,712 a.f. for San Juan-Chama <br />previously borrowed from the City of Albuquerque in Abiquiu to meet irrigation <br />demand. <br /> <br />Total inflow into Nambe Falls Reservoir was computed to be 362 a.f. Evaporation loss <br />on the reservoir was 3 a.f. Table 4 summarizes San Juan-Chama water at Otowi. <br /> <br />Estimated sediment deposition in the San Juan-Chama pools at Abiquiu and Jemez <br />Canyon Reservoirs, and Cochiti Lake are presented in Tables 5A-5C. <br /> <br />Storage and evaporation of Rio Grande water in EI Vado and Abiquiu Reservoirs are <br />shown on Table 6. <br /> <br />All data are provisional and subject to revision as final data are collected and analyzed. <br />
