<br />0041 <br /> <br />in such a place so as to prevent any spillage into water, or channels <br />leading into water, that would result in substantial harm to fish and <br />wildlife or to human water supplies. (FEIS Section 2.4.1, pages 2-36 <br />and 2-37) <br /> <br />18. STREAM PROTECTION: <br /> <br />Construction activities in stream channels will not be allowed between <br />April 15 and July 15. (FEIS section 2.4.1, page 2-37) <br /> <br />Pollution of streams with turbid runoff from construction areas will <br />be prevented. Construction of temporary sedimentation basins to <br />intercept runoff from construction areas, tunnel drainage, and other <br />turbid water will be required. Plans for runoff control and construc- <br />tion of temporary sediment basins must be submitted to the Forest Ser- <br />vice for review and approval prior to their construction. Chemical <br />treatment facilities and/or sediment basins may be required to main- <br />tain water quality. (FEIS Section 2.4.1, page 2-36) <br /> <br />19. FOREST SERVICE INSPECTION: <br /> <br />The Grantee shall allow the Forest' Service inspection of the project <br />at any time during construction. To facilitate such inspections the <br />Grantee shall: <br /> <br />a. Make avai 1 ab 1e any construction records, reports, tests, sche- <br />dules, or other material requested by the Grantor's authorized <br />representative. <br /> <br />b., Allow access to and give such assistance as may be requested by <br />the Forest Service to ascertain that construction is as pre- <br />scribed in the approved plans and specifications. <br /> <br />c. Make additional tests as the Forest Service may request. <br /> <br />d. In advance of construction, advise the Forest Supervisor or his <br />deSignated representative of the scheduled performance of signifi- <br />cant construction items and of any changes in the construction. <br /> <br />20. GRANTEE REPRESENTATIVE: <br /> <br />Grantee shall designate a representative at the site who may be served <br />written orders or notices during construction respecting matters con- <br />tained in this grant, and who would have authority to take the required <br />action. The Grantee shall inform the Forest Supervisor, Glenwood <br />Springs, Colorado, in writing of the name and address of such agent. <br />If a substitute agent is appointed, Grantee shall immediately so inform <br />the Forest Supervisor. <br /> <br />19 <br />
