GRANiEE'S CONTRACTORS AND SUBCONTRACTORS: <br /> <br />Grantee will inc1 ude a copy of the easement conditions and sti pu1 a- <br />tions in any contract awarded for construction of the authorized <br />project; and the Grantee's contractors and subcontractors shall be <br />bound by the conditions and stipulations of the grant. ' <br /> <br />. 5. ROW DESIGNATION: <br /> <br />The Grantee shall survey and clearly designate the right-of-way limits <br />prior to commencement of construction or other surface or vegetation <br />disturbing activities. Said marking shall be done utilizing staking, <br />flagging, or some other method that will result in minimal environ- <br />mental damage, and shall be done iat frequent enough intervals to <br />readily identify the exterior 1imit~ on the ground. All activities <br />directly or indirectly associated with construction or maintenance of <br />the easements granted herein must ~e conducted within the 1 imits of <br />the grant. I <br /> <br />6. GEOLOGIC INVESTIGATION: <br /> <br />Thll ,Grantee will conduct site-speci~ic geologic investigations prior <br />to any construction activity. If ha;ard areas are identified, modifi- <br />cation of project design or development of mitigations, as appropriate, <br />will be required. (FEIS Section 2.4l1, page 2-37) <br />! <br /> <br />7. CULTURAL SURVEY: <br /> <br />Cultural and historical survey for areas not already surveyed (see <br />FEIS Section 3.1.14) will be comp1et~d on areas where surface disturb- <br />ance will take place in accordance with 36 CFR 800 and Executive Order <br />11593. (FEIS Section 2.4.1, page 2-~7) <br /> <br />8. EROSION CONTROL: <br /> <br />The Grantee will ensure slope staQilization and prevent soil loss <br />throughout the authorized area by c~rrying OUt the following erosion <br />control provisions: i <br />I <br />I <br />a. Topsoil shall be stripped from tonstruction areas and be depos- <br />ited in storage piles in approv~d locations apart from other <br />excavated material. After construction has been completed, and <br />the resulting disturbed areas have been reshaped as required, the <br />stored topsoil shall be evenly spread over exposed subsoil to the <br />extent that may be practicab1e,and shall be revegetated. <br /> <br />b. All earth cut or fill slopes f~vorable to revegetation, or other <br />areas on which ground cover is ~estroyed in the course of con- <br />structi on, wi 11 be revegetate~ to grasses or other sui tab 1 e <br />I <br /> <br />16 <br />
