The Grantee shall' <br />ensure its contractors comply with all provisions of the fire <br />plan and burning permits required for disposal of flammable <br />materials. <br /> <br />c. <br /> <br />Plans for controlling soil erosion on the granted area and adjacent <br />lands during construction, operation, and maintenance of the pro- <br />ject. This shall include identification of areas and depth where <br />topsoil will be stripped and stockpil ed, methods to be used to <br />obtain revegetation, and areas to be rip-rapped. <br /> <br />Designation of the location and standards of all gates, crossings, <br />cattle guards, fences, roads, campgrounds, habitat improvement <br />work, and other improvements to property owned by the Grantor <br />that will be constructed, relocated, or performed by the Grantee <br />to mitigate impacts on wildlife, livestock, ranchers, recreation- <br />ists, and other users of the National Forest as required by the <br />Forest Service. The plan shall specify the mutually agreed upon <br />time frame for completing the required work and maintaining the <br />improvements. <br /> <br />Precautions to be taken in using explosives. <br /> <br />Identification of specific areas to be cleared and methods of <br />disposal of the timber cut including merchantable material and <br />slash. <br /> <br />d. <br /> <br />e. <br /> <br />f. <br /> <br />g. <br /> <br />Identification of any construction camp locations and operations <br />within the easement area and dates during which construction <br />activities will occur. <br /> <br />h. <br /> <br />Post construction cleanup. <br />Annual schedule of construction activities. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />3. QUALIFIED ENGINEER: <br /> <br />It shall be the responsibility of the Grantee to employ a qualified <br />engineer to stake out the project prior to construction, and said <br />engineer shall supervise construction operations and furnish the <br />certification of compliance with the final drawings and specifica- <br />tions. Written copies of each inspection report, including soil com- <br />paction and concrete tests, are to be furnished the District Ranger <br />each week during construction. When the project is completed, the <br />Grantee shall have the qualified engineer make a final inspection of <br />the project in company with the Regional Engineer's representative and <br />submit to the District Ranger a certified statement that the project <br />was constructed in accordance ~lith the approved plans, designs, and <br />specifications. <br /> <br />15 <br />
