Cost-Share Assistance <br /> <br />1. Cost share will begin one year after planning commences. <br /> <br />C. Information and Education Activities <br /> <br />1. The following is a list of identified educational activities. <br /> <br />a. Create a mailing list of all water users in project area. <br /> <br />b. Prepare informational packets on Colorado River Basin <br />Salinity Control program. <br /> <br />c. Prepare slide tape series on project, present to water <br />users, private lending .institutions and other interested <br />groups. <br /> <br />d. Individual visits. <br /> <br />e. Initiate demonstration plot to provide water users <br />information on improved water management. <br /> <br />f. Conduct informational meetings. <br /> <br />g. Periodic newsletter. <br /> <br />h. Coordination of informational activities on wetlands and <br />wildlife habitat with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and <br />Colorado Division of Wildlife. <br /> <br />i. Tours, reports, publicity, etc.. <br /> <br />j. Special emphasis in newspaper articles, special mailings, <br />ASCS newsletter and district newsletter will be placed on <br />informing the minority and limited resource farms of <br />cost-share opportunities available through the salinity <br />program. <br /> <br />2 <br />
