The proposed project plan <br />has been developed in accordance ~1th the Principles <br />and Standards for Planning Water and Related Land <br />Resources developed by the Water Resources Council. <br /> <br />Sl'.\TtiS <br /> <br />The Dominguez Reservoir Project was. authorized for <br />investigation by the Water Resour~e Developments. <br />Feasibility Studies Act of October 27. 1972 (Public <br />Law 92-577). <br /> <br />Feasibility investigations were initiated in Jan- <br />uary 1975 with the f~r~~ion of the multiobjective <br />planning (MOP) tca~. The team has studied a multi- <br />tucc cf 3lternatives in the planning process. <br />These alternatives will be discussed tn the feasi- <br />bility report and the environmental impact state- <br />ment. four of the alternatives have been chosen <br />ior presentation a~ candidate plans in the project <br />r!'!!,>orts. T;h.. y include the (1) Nonstructural. The plan currently favorad <br />by the Advisory Council el1minates peakin~ p~~er <br />as a project purpos~ and a~ds a significantly <br />larger component of ounicipal a~d industrial water <br />(about 200.000 acre-feet).
