However, recent hydrologic studies performed by Southwest Region indicate <br /> <br />that the long-term average yield may be closer to 104,500 acre-feet. <br /> <br />Navajo Reservoir Evaporation <br /> <br />Reservoir evaporation is based upon a 60-year Colorado River Storage Project <br /> <br />sequence study made in 1973. <br /> <br />HORback Expansion <br /> <br />Minor increases in depletions are expected to occur between now and 1990. <br /> <br />Studies are underway by the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Navajo Tribe to <br /> <br />determine additional water requirements in this area. <br /> <br />~ International Inc. <br /> <br />Approximately 22,000 acre-feet were used for the five units of the Four Corners <br /> <br />Powerplant in 1980. Uses varied between 18-22,000 acre-feet during the period <br /> <br />1976-80 with an average of 20,400 acre-feet. <br /> <br />Farmington Municipal and Industrial <br /> <br />The city of Farmington, New Mexico, is expected to develop additional water for <br /> <br />municipal and industrial use of 1990 under rights held by the city. Recently, <br /> <br />tbe city of Farmington expressed interest to the Southwest Region in obtaining <br /> <br />treated water from the proposed treatment plant or building a raw water pump <br /> <br />station in conjunction with the Gallup-Navajo Indian Water Supply project faci- <br /> <br />litiss. <br /> <br />Navajo Indian Irrigation Proiect <br /> <br />The project has now 5 of 11 planned development hlocks completed.
