<br /> <br />0-0 <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />HOUSE BILL 04-1365 <br /> <br />BY REPRESENT A TIVE(S) Harvey, Frangas, May M., McFadyen, Plant, <br />Rippy, Weissmann, and Wiens; <br />also SENA TOR(S) Kester, Groff, Grossman, Hillman, and Tapia. <br /> <br />CONCERNING WATER PLANNING BY RETAIL WATER PROVIDERS. <br /> <br />Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Legislative declaration. (1) The general assembly <br />hereby fmds and declares that: <br /> <br />(a) Colorado was the fIrst western state to enact statewide water <br />conservation legislation; <br /> <br />(b) Water conservation and drought mitigation planning will benefIt <br />all citizens of the state of Colorado; <br /> <br />(c) The "Water Conservation Act of 1991", which fostered a <br />statewide policy of improved urban water use effIciency and conservation, <br />provides the foundation that can now be enhanced to provide new technical <br />and fmancial opportunities for Colorado's communities regarding water <br />conservation and drought mitigation planning. <br /> <br />Capital letters indicate new material added to existing statutes; dashes through words indicate <br />deletions from existing statutes and such material not part of act. <br />
