<br /> <br />PLATTE RIVER BASIN <br /> <br />06734900 OLYMPUS TUNNEL (ESTES FOOTHILLS CANAL) AT LAKE ESTES, CO <br /> <br />LOCATION.--Lat 40°22'30", long 105°29'13", in SE¼NW¼ sec. 29, T.5 N., R.72 W., Larimer County, Hydrologic <br />Unit 10190006, at tunnel entrance at south end of Olympus Dam on Lake Estes, 1.9 mi east of Estes <br />Park. <br /> <br />GAGE.--Graphic water-stage recorder with satellite monitoring DCP with shaft encoder in a concrete shelter <br />with supplemental outside staff gage. The DCP is the primary record. <br /> <br />REMARKS.--Primary record is hourly data taken from satellite monitoring with graphic chart as back up. The <br />record is complete and reliable except for: February 7-21-The metal tape for the shaft encoder <br />slipped out of the bead of the wheel. This was computed without loss of accuracy by comparing the <br />DCP data with the chart. The record is good. This station is operated in cooperation with the USBR <br />for the Colorado--Big Thompson Project.
