LOCATION.--Lat 38°33'26", long 105°53'22", 1500 ft below Antero Reservoir.

DRAINAGE AREA.--N/A

GAGE.--Satellite monitoring and graphic recorder on a 12 foot Parshall flume with a wooden shelter,
concrete well and staff gage. The weekly recorder has an expanded scale (One division equals 0.02
ft.) which can be read to 0.005 foot. A 15 ft. wide by-pass channel, closed by adjustable gate, is
cut into the bank about 40 ft. above the flume. The new Cipolletti outlet weir has not yet been
fully approved for operation even though the approach velocity problems have been improved. Gage
is owned and maintained by the Denver Water Dept.

REMARKS.--Primary record is hourly data taken from satellite readings with chart back up. DCP data usually
agrees with chart data to within ±0.02 foot, but chart frequently shows corrections when changed.
Chart values were used for the period May 1, through June 16, 2002 when the shaft encoder
inoperable. The record is good. A baffle has been installed in the stilling basin above the
Cipoletti weir. Measurements to confirm the final rating are yet to be made. Record developed and
satellite monitoring maintained by Rodger Burcher.
