06727000 BOULDER CREEK NEAR ORODELL, CO

LOCATION.--Lat 40°00'23", long 105°19'49", in NE¼SW¼ sec. 34, T.l N., R.71 W., Boulder County, Hydrologic
Unit 10190005, on left bank along State Highway 119, 0.7 mi southwest of old Orodell, 1.1 mi
upstream from Fourmile Creek, and 2.9 mi southwest of courthouse in Boulder.

DRAINAGE AREA.--102 mi².

GAGE.--Stevens A35 graphic water-stage recorder and Sutron 8210 DCP with shaft encoder in a 6 foot by 6
foot exposed aggregate concrete shelter with a 54-inch corrugated metal well. The data collection
platform (DCP) provides the primary record. A High Data Rate (HDR) DCP was installed during this
water year. The station now includes a pressure transducer installed by Urban Drainage and Flood
Control District.

REMARKS.--Record is complete and reliable, except for the winter record where the station was off.
Estimates for these days were taken from the daily average releases from Barker Reservoir provided
from the City of Boulder caretaker of Barker Reservoir. These days are included in the following
list:December 11, 2001 – March 31, 2002. Record is good, except for the period December 10, 2001
through April 1, 2002 in which the station was off and flows were estimated. Station maintained and
record developed by M.L. Cunning.
