WIND RIVER BY-PASS NEAR ESTES PARK, CO.

LOCATION.--Lat 40º19’38”, long 105º34’53”

DRAINAGE AREA.--N/A

GAGE.--Satellite Monitoring DCP in a metal shelter with a steel well and drop tape with a one foot
cipoletti flume. A Data Collection Platform was the primary record. There is no graphic chart as
backup. The DCP was installed in May, 2001.

REMARKS.--For October 1-November 7, 2000 and April 17 to May 8, 2001 record was taken from mean daily
chart gage heights of Wind River. For the remainder of the year the record was hourly satellite
data. The record is good. Stream flows are affected by diversions to Rams Horn Tunnel for power
generation for the USBR. Station maintained and record developed by Merlin Friedrichsen
