A summary of the <br /> process for the correction of clerical errors through the proposed new rule is: <br /> 1. The party seeking to correct a clerical error files a petition (which <br /> could be the Commission itself) outlining the error and correction <br /> sought. <br /> 2. The petitioner provides notification to all parties of record to the <br /> original proceeding. <br /> 3. A response from a party of record may be submitted within 21 days of <br /> the notification being made. This response could include an objection <br /> to the petition. <br /> 4. At the following Commission meeting, the Commission will either <br /> approve the petition, deny the petition, or delay consideration of the <br /> petition. If a party has commented on the petition, the Commission <br /> will be provided with those comments before making a decision at <br /> the next Commission meeting. <br /> Ms. Herman commented that this process above will allow for Staff to correct <br /> clerical errors in a more efficient and streamlined manner, especially if there is <br /> an objection to the petition. A petition to correct clerical errors does not need <br /> to be published. <br /> Commissioner Denning thanked Ms. Herman for her office's hard work on the <br /> proposed rule change. <br /> Ms. Herman then discussed next steps for the proposed rule with the <br /> Commissioners, which includes direction to Staff to pursue the formal <br /> stakeholder process. <br /> Commissioner Hume moved to direct Staff to begin the formal stakeholder <br /> process for the proposed rule change to correct clerical errors in permits and <br /> findings &t orders. <br /> Commissioner Denning seconded the motion which carried unanimously <br /> b) Rulemaking on the requirements for objections: <br /> Ms. Jen Mete introduced herself as Staff with the AGO, and provided an update <br /> on the proposed rulemaking on the requirements for objections. Ms. Mete <br /> reminded the Commission that in the past few years, Applicants and Staff have <br /> encountered a high number of objections that do not seem to be based on any <br />
