District ("Lost Creek GWMD") timely submitted an objection to the Application on <br /> the grounds of speculation. <br /> Status: On January 21, 2025, the hearing set in this matter, which was set to <br /> occur on March 5 through 7, 2025, was re-set for September 9 through 12, <br /> 2025. Since then Rangeview stipulated with Blue Valley on December 20, 2024 <br /> and stipulated with Lost Creek GWMD on January 24, 2025. On February 5, <br /> 2025, the Hearing Officer closed the case and remanded to Staff for further <br /> action. Findings and Orders were drafted with the input of the Applicant and <br /> Opposers. Staff is currently reviewing these Findings and Orders for final <br /> approval. This matter should be resolved prior to the next meeting. Should that <br /> occur, this matter will not appear on the next quarterly update. <br /> Colorado Plains Ranch, Case No. 25GW02 <br /> Designated Basin: Kiowa Bijou and Upper Big Sandy <br /> Management District: Upper Big Sandy <br /> Attorneys: Emilie Polley <br /> Subject: Colorado Plains Ranch applied for Determinations of Water Rights to <br /> allocations of designated groundwater from the Laramie Fox Hills aquifer underlying <br /> three parcels. The Applicant has claimed to use the groundwater for industrial, <br /> construction, domestic, recreation, piscatorial, firefighting, replacement, including <br /> all said uses within community development directly or after storage and/or within <br /> storage ponds. On January 30, 2025, and February 6, 2025, legal notice of the <br /> application was published in the Ranchland News newspaper. The Upper Big Sandy <br /> Ground Water Management District and the North Kiowa Bijou Ground Water <br /> Management District timely filed objections based on speculation. <br /> Status: A setting conference was held in this case on April 30, 2025. At the <br /> status conference the Applicant stated that it believes Staff's calculations <br />
