Meadows Farm, Permit 326450, Monitoring Well Variance (Request for Variance to <br /> Repair Well) <br /> a) Mr. Jones provided background information on the situation <br /> b) Shawn Shake provided an update on the variance request <br /> c) Variance would be for Rule 10.4.2.1, 10.4.4, and 10.4.1 <br /> d) Discussion regarding current construction of the well and potential <br /> repair <br /> e) Mr. Sanchez motioned to approve the variance to Rules 14 and 10 as <br /> requested to allow for installation of the proposed grout plug, which <br /> enables further exploration and experimentation with the well <br /> structure. Mr. Hunter seconded. <br /> (1) Chris Jones asked that the Board think about whether a <br /> maximum penetration into the aquifer below the Type III <br /> aquifer for driven casing should be implemented in the Rules. <br /> (2) Mr. Kunau stepped out for a meeting, so he did not participate <br /> in the vote. <br /> (3) Motion carried. <br /> 6. Alvin Loveridge, Receipt 10034444 - Convert Test Hole to Production Well via <br /> GWS-68 <br /> a) Mr. Jones provided background information on the situation. <br /> b) Alvin Loveridge provided more background information. <br /> c) Discussion regarding initial construction, current status of well and <br /> pump, and possible action toward the current well <br /> d) Mr. Sanchez motioned that the GWS-68 form is accepted as provided <br /> with the condition that the electrical issues are resolved and the <br /> wellhead area is cleaned up to prevent contamination. Mr. Hunter <br /> seconded. <br /> (1) Tim Kunau abstained from the vote because he was only <br /> present for a part of the discussion <br /> (2) Motion carried. <br /> X. Review of Active Complaints and Settlement Recommendations <br /> A. Requested Board Action <br /> 1. 23-BC-004, Robert Young; Permit 319985 (Construction Violation) Failure to Repair <br /> Well per Stipulated Settlement and Board Approved Variance within Allotted Time <br /> Frame - Request BOE Consider Contractor's Request for Additional Time or Set <br /> Hearing. <br /> a) Mr. Jones provided background information on the situation. <br /> b) Staff recommended that the Board provide a time extension on the <br /> existing stipulated settlement offer. <br /> c) Mr. Ullmann moved to extend the time on the Stipulated Settlement <br /> until September 30th, 2024. Mr. Sanchez seconded.
