Proposed changes would provide for the review of applications by the Chief <br /> Well Inspector, as is the current process <br /> iii. Also proposed that the language regarding a cost to a printed version of the <br /> rules be removed as there are no printed copies available <br /> iv. Board expressed support for the proposed changes <br /> b. DRAFT Policy 2024-2 - Continuing Education Obtained By Internet Or Online <br /> Participation For 2025 <br /> i. Chris Jones presented the policy <br /> ii. Todd Hunter expressed concern that online CE meetings may not lead to <br /> meaningful engagement <br /> 1. Chris Sanchez stated he believes that the online hours are a <br /> remnant from the 2020 pandemic, but that there is some value <br /> to the online offerings <br /> a. Kevin Donegan clarified that online hours were offered <br /> prior to the 2020 pandemic (up to 4 of 8 hours online). <br /> The policy pulled the distribution of hours out of the <br /> Rules so they could easily be amended as needed <br /> 2. Laura Kalafus stated that some contractors mention the cost of <br /> travel as a reason for online participation <br /> iii. Josh Weaver stated that there is an effort to track comprehension in the <br /> online offerings, and that, without online options, physical meetings may <br /> not be attended <br /> iv. Chris Sanchez motioned to approve policy 2024-2 as written. John Hunyadi <br /> seconded. Motion carried. <br /> c. Randy Conrad, Contractor License Application Review for Special License to <br /> Construct Monitoring Wells with and without penetrating through a Confining <br /> Layer using Sonic Drilling Methods. Board guidance on appropriate NGWA testing. <br /> i. Moved to after executive session <br /> ii. Chris Jones presented the request <br /> iii. Discussion regarding applicable exams and Mr. Conrad's experience <br /> iv. Board approved the application and suggested NGWA's general exam and <br /> exam H (Jetting and driving wells) <br /> d. Greg Kennedy, Contractor License Application Review for Pump Installation in <br /> Water Systems Less than or Equal to 100 gpm. Board Review for Experience <br /> gained while working as unlicensed contractor and when experience cannot be <br /> verified because of deceased Contractors. <br /> i.
