This ground water basin has a Iong and unvaried history of continuing ground water level declines. It's
apparent that ground water is being mined at a greater rate than recharge is occurring. The maps
contained in this report identify areas of intense ground water use throughout the years reported. The
recurring and persistent areas of intense ground water use indicate that a metering program is warranted
to adequately manage the ground water resources of the Upper Black Squirrel Ground Water
Management District.
Copies of this report are being made aailable to well owners for their assistance in this project.
Additional reports are available from the ffice of the State Engineer, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 81 S,
Denver, Colorado 82D3, for a cost o# $3.0.
W 102R.cgr
3/2109
