September 24, 2012
4 r. Peter Hays
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1300 Sherman Street, Room 201
Denver, CO
Dear Peter:
Very truly yours,
Connie N. I
contacted Leprino and was advised that the water in the lagoon is industrial waste water
from their cheese processing facilities and, since the lagoon is an industrial wastewater
facility which neither diverts groundwater into the lagoon for storage nor interacts with
groundwater, it does not fall under State Engineers Office regulation.
Leprino provided me with specifications and as -built drawings with details of the dual
HDPE membrane lined lagoon, which are enclosed for your reference. We believe that
this information adequately addresses the concerns that the State Engineers Office raised
with regard to releasing the site, but please contact me at (970) 396 -5252 or
connie.davis @aggregate- us.com if there are any further questions
AGGREGATE INDUSTRIES
WESTERN REGION
1707 Cole Blvd , Suite 100
Golden, CO 80401
Telephone (303) 985 -1070
Facsimile (303) 716 -5295
www aggregate -us com
An Equal Opportunity Employer
An AGGREGATE INDUSTRIES company
