(GCC) hereby submits this response to your letter dated August 25, 2011 and <br />related attachments. Your review comments are in bold follow with GCC's response <br />Exhibit "E" Reclamation Plan, Rule 6.3.5 <br />1) Please provide a new reclamation plan map delineating the areas affected by the plant site <br />that will not require a reclamation warranty. <br />Attachment 1 is a new drawing showing the following: <br />• The Permit, Property and Resource Boundaries, as well as the open -pit mining boundary <br />(Phases I and II), none of which has been modified as a result of this amendment. <br />• The Cement Plant Boundary has been added to delineate the manufacturing area that <br />will remain as an industrial use at the end of the mine life. Included within this area are <br />the Rail Yard and the Plant's storm water sedimentation pond and wastewater treatment <br />system. <br />• The Entrance Road, St. Charles River Bridge and Railroad Spur that have been <br />constructed as part of the cement manufacturing plant, which also will remain as <br />industrial uses at the end of the mine life. <br />The number of acres that will not require a reclamation warranty are as follows: <br />Areas That Will be Remain Industrial Use and <br />Will Not Requure a Reclamation Warranty <br />Cement Plant, Including Rail Yard, Sedimentation Pond <br />and Wastewater Treatment System <br />167 acres <br />Entrance Road and St. <br />Charles Bridge <br />25 acres <br />Rail Road Spur <br />25 acres <br />TOTAL ACRES TO BE REMOVED FROM <br />RECLAMATION WARRANTY <br />217 ACRES <br />GCC Rio Grande, Inc. • Pueblo Plant <br />3372 Lime Road • Pueblo, CO 81004 <br />(719) 647 -6800 • Fax (719) 647 -6899 <br />
