OPERATORS <br />SHOULD READ THE FOLLOWING PAGES CAREFULLY IN ORDER TO ASSURE COMPLIANCE <br />WITH THE TERMS OF THE PERMIT AND APPLICABLE RULES AND REGULATIONS. If a <br />Possible Violation is indicated, you will be notified under separate cover as to when the Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board will consider possible enforcement action. <br />INSPECTION TOPIC: Revegetation <br />PROBLEM/POSSIBLE VIOLATION: Problem: Noxious Weeds. The site still contains a patch of Canada thistle, <br />which does not appear to be controlled, even though this has been an issue to address in past inspection <br />reports. There are now Scotch thistle on the site that also must be controlled. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTIONS: The operator must act promptly to prevent these thistle plants from flowering and going <br />to seed, by cutting the tops of the Canada thistle, and severing the taproot of each Scotch thistle, all this during <br />June. Later in the summer any new growth must be sprayed with an herbicide recommended by the county <br />weed control officer (Rod Cook). Evidence of performing these activities must be submitted to this office by the <br />correction date shown below. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION DUE DATE: 8/09/11 <br />Page 1 of 3
