On behalf of New Elk Coal Company (NECC), following are its responses to the DRMS' comments and concerns. 1. Page v, List of Figures (1/23/11) is included in the list of revised pages but was not found in the revised materials. Please provide the referenced page. NECC-Page v, List of Figures, is enclosed. 2. The "Weigh Bin (removed)" appears improperly spotted east of the coal silos on Map 11, Sheet 3. Please review and correct as necessary. NECC-The Weigh Bin notation was moved to the appropriate location. 3. Again, on Map 11, Sheet 3, west of the East Portal substation, the annotation "MgCl removed" and "reclaimed oil storage tanks" are shown near a polygon highlighted in light blue. These features seem to be located in a native area. Please review and correct as necessary. NECC-The notations were moved to the appropriate location. 4. The Division understands that the two new dewatering holes are located south of Pond 7 at the far east end of the disturbed area. If this is not the case, please clearly annotate the location of the two new holes and include a reference to their location in the permit text narrative. NECC-The dewatering holes are shown on Map 11, Sheet 3, annotated as "mine dewatering well with pump." One is north of Pond 7 and north of SH12 the other is south of Pond 7.
