This pit HAS NOT
been granted a Temporary Cessation and it HAS operated more than 180
days this year. There has been no mining within 200 feet of the Peck
Creek tributary canyon as required. The Annual Report Map is an
excerpt from the application map showing the southeast portion of the
mine where mining activities are taking place at this time. In June
2009 the bond was reviewed and recalculated. As a reminder within
the permit area for this mine are 2 other mines, The Pinon Mine, M-
1997-094 (6.26 ac t) and the Siloam Pit, M-1977-326 (9.99 ac ±) with
separate bonds.
We will deal specifically with each of the Annual Report
questions as required in Rule 1.15 of the Rules and Regulations and
the Annual Notice Letter.
(1) The slab mining was increased this year by 1.11 acres in the
north central part of the disturbed area into the area used as
Temporary stone storage Areas (TSSA's) (orange). The TSSA
area decreased by 1.11 acres t• The stone yard and topsoil
piles remain unchanged from last year. We continue to use the
grizzlies setup in 2002 for processing stone in the Stone Yard.
The following table shows the status of the mine area, in
acres, disturbed at the mine:
DISTURBANCE (NEEDING RECLMA-
TION) STAGE 1
ac. t ALLOWED BY
BOND ac. t
Slab stone mining (orange) 11.11 25.00
Reclaimed, seeded (green) 4.33 NA
Topsoil stockpiles (tan) 2.54 NA
Temporary Stone Storage Area (111) 26.70 35.00
Stone Yard 13.55"` 13.55'
Total disturbance 44.68 60.00
x - historic Industrial use area - no reclamation required
NF * R ?8'
email: info@siloamstone.com website: www.siloamstone.com
