Pineda <br />Director <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (CDRMS) has reviewed and found the <br />above referenced report to be in compliance with the following CDRMS regulations: <br />4.09.1(11)(a) Inspected at least quarterly by a reregistered engineer or other qualified professional <br />specialist in construction of earth and rockfill embankments under the direction of a <br />qualified engineer throughout the construction <br />The certified report covers the third quarter monitoring period from July to September <br />2010, and the inspections were conducted by a certified engineer. <br />4.09.1(11)(b) Provide to the Division a certified report within 2 weeks after each inspection that the <br />fill has been constructed as specified in the design approved by the Division, The <br />report shall include a description of any appearances of instability, structural - <br />weakness, and other hazardous conditions. <br />The inspection was conducted on September 30, 2010, and the report was received by - <br />the Division on October 13, 2010. No instability, structural weakness, or other <br />hazardous conditions were noted during the September 30 inspection. <br />No problems or maintenance items were noted during the inspection of the Horse Gulch Excess Spoil <br />Fill. <br />Please note that according to Section 4.09.1(11)(a), certified reports are required during the following <br />construction periods: (1) removal of all organic material and topsoil, (2) placement of underdrain <br />systems, (3) installation of surface drainage systems, (4) placement and compaction of fill materials, <br />Office of Office of <br />Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
