M??o9a 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 Denver, Colorado 80203 Re: Permit No. M-1980-244• Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company ("CC&V"); Cresson Project-, - Request for Technical Revision ("TR-55") Revised Backfill Plan and Temporary Access Road Dear Mr. Keffelew: CC&V proposes the following minor changes as part of this request for Technical Revision (TR-55) to the Amendment No. 9 to Permit M-1980-244. This TR request includes revisions to the Main Cresson Mine and East Cresson Mine backfilling plan and the Squaw Gulch Overburden Storage Area configuration. Also, there is a temporary access road (labeled "New Ironclad Access" on the drawings) located on the north end of the property, which is a minor change to operations. This road will be constructed totally within the footprint of the currently disturbed area. Updated Drawings C-4, C-5, and F-1 have been included to identify the proposed revisions to the backfilling and overburden storage areas, as well as to show the location of the temporary access road. These revisions were necessitated to more effectively utilize surface mine backfill potential and maximize the volume of the Squaw Gulch Overburden Storage area without increasing the disturbance footprint. There are no changes to the reclamation methods defined in the Amendment No. 9 application.
