Staff is pleased to inform Grand Junction Pipe and Supply Company that the
application is approved.
The reclamation liability estimate is calculated to be $47.972.00. The estimate is based on both Pit 1 and Pit 3 being
disturbed at the same time and a worst case scenario of 12 acres maximum disturbance at any one time. Please let
staff know immediately if any errors exist in reclamation cost estimate. Grand Junction Pipe and Supply Company
must submit and have accepted both a Financial and Performance Warranty for the permit to become active. No
disturbance may occur until the warranties are in place and all other necessary local, state and federal permits
(if required) are approved and in place. Any questions regarding the Financial and Performance Warranties should
be directed to Elizabeth Merry at 303-866-3567, extension 8148.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Grand
Junction Field Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, telephone no. 970.241.2042.
Sincerely,
Travis Marshall
Environmental Protection Specialist
Cc: Steve Shuey, DRMS
Enclosure(s)
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
