I
indicated that the Division had received numerous objections to AM-03 from the citizens of San
Luis and surrounding area, and that many of the objecting parties had requested the public
meetings regarding AM-03 occur in San Luis. I indicated that judging from the number of
objections received, the Division anticipated approximately 100 participants at each of the public
meetings. The individual I talked to at (719) 672-3372 directed me to call Mary Joe at Parish
Hall at (719) 672-3685.
1 called Mary Joe at the number indicated and repeated what I had previously stated to the office
of the County Commissioners. I informed Mary Joe that the office of the County Commissioners
had directed me to call her at Parish Hall.
Mary Joe indicated that Parish Hall had bathroom and kitchen facilities and could accommodate
public meetings of up to 100 people. However, Mary Joe explained, Parish Hall supports the
community and the needs of the community would take precedence over such public meetings.
Mary Joe clarified that if Parish Hall was needed for a funeral, the funeral would represent a one
cou higher priority over a previously scheduled wpublic e needed to understand the pror?ies of Par sh Id
not predict when a funeral might occur and
Hall.
Mary Joe requested that I submit my request to her email at sangre(@amigo.net.
Attachment: Copy of email to sangre(p?amigo.net, inquiring about the availability of Parish Hall.
Office of
Office of Active and Inactive Mines
Mined Land Reclamation
