Street, Room 215 <br />Denver, CO 90203 <br />Re: Golden Eagle Mine Permit No. C-81-013 <br />Phase HI Release <br />Well Abandonment Reports <br />Dear Mr. Gorham: <br />Attached are well abandonment reports for wells GE-77, ACAW-1, PAW-5, <br />PAW-6 and CLAW-1. Well GE-77 was drilled in July of 1995 and completed <br />as a water monitoring well. in 1996, with the closure of the Golden Eagle Mine, <br />well abandonment was completed by Pike's Peak Geological Services under the <br />direction of Ronald Thompson. The well casing was cut-off` five feet below <br />ground level and filled with a Portland cement mix. The well was completed to <br />1122 feet. No records of water intervals are presently available. The well was <br />permitted by MR-65. In 1997 it was transferred from the Golden Eagle mine <br />permit reclamation bond to the bond submitted with NOI number CX-93-213-- <br />03. <br />Wells PAW-5 and PAW-6 Twere alluvial hey monitoring wells <br />through the alluvium and <br />'Waste, Water and Land. Y were auger d bedrock. The wells were <br />terminated at the intercept with the underlying <br />completed with 411. perforated steel casing. (Details are in Exhibit 6 of the above <br />referenced mining permit)_ The steel casing was extracted from the wells in <br />2007 and the annulus filled with a Portland cement mix.
