Work <br /> which will be accomplished includes provision and installation of specified materials to <br /> accomplish closure of the subsidence feature in a safe and efficient manner. <br /> Enclosed are a project description, map, figure and Bid Schedule. <br /> The General Conditions apply to this job. No bid bonds are required. <br /> Site Showing <br /> There will be a MANDATORY pre-bid meeting (site showing) on April 24, 2001 beginning at <br /> 9:30 a.m. Please refer to the attached map for the pre-bid meeting location and the project area <br /> location. <br /> Project Construction Dates <br /> Project construction is tentatively scheduled to begin on May 21, 2001 and will be completed by <br /> no later than May 25, 2001. The five (5) day construction period includes mobilization and <br /> demobilization time. Construction dates are subject to change by OWNER. <br /> Bid Submission and Evaluation <br /> Bids shall be submitted by 2:30 p.m. on May 3, 2001 by mail, in person, or faxed <br /> (303) (832-8106) to Yvonne Brannon, at the Division of Minerals and Geology. Telephoned bids <br /> will NOT be accepted. Bids shall include a total price and a price for each bid item. <br /> The Bids will be evaluated by comparing the Grand Total, and the backfill material proposed for <br /> use. The Grand Total Price for Contractors proposing to utilize fly ash as the backfill material <br /> will be evaluated. If materials other than that specified are proposed as backfill, the bid will be <br /> evaluated in light of the appropriateness of the material proposed for use, and the Grand Total <br /> Price. The Bid will be awarded to the lowest Grand Total Bid utilizing the most appropriate <br /> backfill material, as determined solely by the Division of Minerals and Geology. <br />
