Box 260678
Littleton, CO 80163-0678
Attn: Scott Leonhart
Project Name: Northfield Exploration
County: Fremont
Dear Kent:
This report includes a full description of ali exploration and reclamation activities during the latest
180-day period of active prospecting conducted by Northfield Partners LLC (Northfield) in
accordance with the approved amendment to the NOI.
Northfield received approval of Amendment No. AM-1 on March 20, 2007, to drill and core three
exploration holes: each a `twin' hole to the three existing groundwater monitoring wells completed
in 2005. Northfield proceeded with drilling, sealing, and initial reclamation of the three holes as
approved in NOI amendment. Hole locations are twins adjacent to NF-O1, NF-02, and NF-03
shown on the accompanying map, "Figure 1, 180-Day Report Exploration Map".
Northfield commenced drilling and coring activities upon approval of the NOI amendment and
finished drilling on May 15, 2007. A total of three holes were drilled, then sealed prior to moving
the drill rig. No drill rigs/test equipment are currently located or operating in the exploration area.
Sealing documentation for the holes drilled during this exploration phase was submitted to the
Division under separate cover entitled "Well Abandonment Report for Well Nos. NF-01 B, NF-
02$, and NF-03B", dated March 1, 2008.
All drilling activities were accomplished with only minor additional surface disturbance. Drilling
was accomplished utilizing the existing pads and trails developed to construct existing monitoring
wells. Shallow mud pits were established within pad areas to contain drill cuttings and fluids.
Several periods of inclement weather during May caused very wet ground conditions and
subsequent minor rutting during the use of drill trails leading to the NF-O1 and NF-03 sites.
Drilling was suspended on several occasions in order to reduce unnecessary adverse impacts to the
drill trails and pad areas. Road grading was performed as conditions improved to fill ruts and allow
safe access.
